Anna Browning LJBQ-ZSG
I'm trying to determine the parents of my 5th great grandmother, Anna Browning. There is some speculation that she is the daughter of Samuel Browning (LHD5-3NF) and Mercy Clark (M6H9-CJM), but no definite evidence. My cousin, Karen Stark, discusses this in her book, The Joseph Eggleston Family (p. 38), which is available in the FamilySearch catalog. Does anyone know how I can find birth records that go back that far? She may have been born in 1715, not 1725.

Lorene; There are two sources cited in Anna's FamilySearch record by tmckinney and geraldeggelston2. I would go to the sources on her record and message both of these and ask where they got the information. That may help you find her parents. Lorene; Looking at Anna's record, there appears to be a discrepancy. Her birth date is 1725 and her marriage date is 1734. One or both of these dates is probably wrong. I suggest you look at the sources cited and see if you can find anything. We can help you search through them if you need it.
