Help reading and translating German death record.
e I am new to the group and hope someone can read and translate this church record line 32, Kreiner. Here is the link, https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/slovenia/maribor/radlje-ob-dravi/02213/?pg=35
I am new to this group and having some difficulty typing my message, it seems the site keeps changing some of the words. Thank You

You're welcome @fricibacsi
Just for interest @Robert Seal_1 what is the transcription in the second line (under the name Peter Kreiner)?

Hello @B.Dahne,
Transcription:
Peter Kreiner, k. k. pens. Kurschmied u. Grundbesitzer in Mahrenberg.
Comments: This record is dated 1872 and is from Austria-Hungary, which was both an empire and a kingdom. The abbreviation "k. k." = königlich und kaiserlich = royal and imperial.
The abbreviation "pens." is for some form of the word "pension" and indicates that Peter Kreiner was retired.

Yes, OK, thanks. I just wanted to know if my "Kurschmied" was correct, because you translated is as blacksmith.

Hello BD,
Yes, your "Kurschmied" was correct.
I use the following book as my main source for translation:
Ernest Thode, German-English Genealogical Dictionary, (Baltimore: Genealogical Pub. Co., 1992).
Thode translates "Kurschmied" as: blacksmith; farrier.

Hi
I found Kreiner Peter listed as Kurschmiede in the book which is found in Google books. For your information.
Is this website translating some words ? Can it be turned off ?
