I am helping a friend prepare for a trip (May, 2022) to see where her father was born and lived prior to emigration to America. He came from Castrolibero in 1927. Are there records that might show the location of his grandfather's farm? I know here I can search deed records, estate settlements, tax rolls, plat maps, etc. What, if anything, exists there? And, of course, I don't know if his grandfather (Saverio Belmonte) actually owned the land or was a tenant. I know they had sheep and raised silk worms. Thanks for any guidance.

None of those records are online as far as I know. You would need to inquire directly with the comune of Castrolibero:

Thanks. I have already prepared a letter (in Italian) to them for birth and marriage records. When it comes to property records, I don't know what even exists and what to ask for - let alone what they are called in Italian. Any guidance on what records even exist and what they are called?
