I created a document to help members improve their quality control: http://ldschurch-leeds.org/etiquetteandqualitycontrol.pdf
There are links to numerous sources of help on the last two pages.
Please use as you see fit.

Big, massive thank you Steve! That's a great document and I'll definitely use it. It's really well put together. I love it.
I used to be in Nottingham Stake, but now I'm in Alberta, Canada. We have lots of friends in your Stake and district! Hope all is well over there!

Maybe I will be able to get an interest in doing my family history with this help. Thank you, this is the type of help I need.

My thanks to all who responded to my handout. It's good to know that it is appreciated. If anyone has ideas that will help members in general and the subjects are not covered adequately elsewhere, then perhaps we could work together on future handouts.

Steve - like others - Thank you so much for the effort and quality of the provided handout.
Re: Page one "One problem becoming apparent is that some previously entered dates or event places are no longer acceptable due to these fields now requiring what is known as a Standardized Date or Standardized Event Place."
We do wish to provide the computer algorithm a standard by which to search; however, this does not mean the original information must be lost. By clicking on the 'twisty' drop down at the right end of the Standardize line you are able to provide the proper standard location without changing the information in the data box. Please review "Family Tree: The ins and outs - Bryce Roper" in the RootsTech 2019 {SLC] presentations to better see what I'm trying to describe.

Thanks for the reference to that video. Just watched it and learned quite a few new things (despite being a heavy user)

I cross posted to the wrong thread. It was an "Ins and outs of Family Tree" video from Rootstech.
