Death record notation: e.m.f. 1851?

Looking at the death record for Johan Martin Andersson and have come across a notation I have never seen before. Under his name and place of death is the notation e.m.f. 1851.

 

This is not his date of birth as that appears in the next column corrected recorded as 23 August 1854.

 

Has anyone an idea of what this information is telling me?
