Liverpool, England - what county/shire?
My ancestors left the port of Liverpool (England) in 1870 with Mormon Immigrants.
Not sure which standardized place to choose.

I am just another User/Patrons like yourself.

My personal preference for "Liverpool" in "England", even for that time period, would be: Liverpool, Lancashire, England.
.
Although, it is technically correct (and, acceptable) to have the 'Suffix' of "United Kingdom", I (personally) really do not consider that that "United Kingdom" needs to come into play until about 1952 onwards.
.
And, 'Yes', ... Liverpool, Lancashire, England ... is a 'Standard'.
.
Truly, just disregard the time period according to "Standardisation"; and, the 'Suffix' of "United Kingdom".
.
As,
- people from 'England' consider themselves from 'England'
- people from 'Wales' consider themselves from 'Wales'
- people from 'Scotland' consider themselves from 'Scotland'
whereas, they were from the island of "Britain" or "Great Britain.
- lets not even get into 'Northern Ireland'
.
That is just my take on it.
.
The choice is yours.
.
Don't sweat it.
