Is there anywhere that gives the preferred format for entering people's names?
I had a discussion with someone who found an old page in the Wiki that said to enter all surnames in upper case. I thought that natural case was preferred now, but I have not been able to find a reference that shows that.

I haven't heard anything, but I would assume they don't want it upper case anymore.

In some training by a FamilySearch team member, they said the upper case is not preferred. Names were entered this way in old family group sheets to designate Surnames from given names. Desktop software can still do this. Uploaded data comes over like this, but they should be corrected to the new preference, becasue now our fields are designated Surname, Given Name and that is no longer the preference.

I agree that names shouldn't be in upper case. I would like to find somewhere that FamilySearch says that. There is still an obsolete statement in the wiki that tells people to use upper case.
