@X24mom X24mom Is this the Baptist Home that your ancestor was in? This home is on a Historic Register in the National Archives.

This Oklahoma SP American Baptist Home Mission House was located in Talequah. I don't remember where the home that we connected your grandfather with was. In case this is the right Baptist Home, I didn't want to lose the link.

Ty @Carolyn Webber :) yes he was at the Baptist Orphans Home in Oklahoma City... the people there are really nice and helpful. The lady (I have her name somewhere just can’t remember it right now) went to check for his records for me on her own time, which I thought was extremely kind of her to to that.
Unfortunately, there had been a fire some years ago that destroyed a lot of the records from that time period (1914-1917), sadly my grandfathers records were amongst the ones that were destroyed
i did manage to find out his full birth name though, and the date of his admission and dismissal. So that was helpful for me to be able to narrow down the dates for my research (or I had hoped it would be lol)... I don’t seem to be any closer to learning who his birth parents were than I was when I first started dna records have so far only tuned up mostly folks I already know (maternal) ... and some on my father’s mother’s biological family (which I learned who they were several years ago)... so I’m still chuggin along one day at a time hoping to find more about him
