i just watched this (it’s only like 2 mins long) , it was very touching and it made me cry 😢 but my reason for posting to this group is because of the resource info contained in the video. This is for anyone who may be wondering about relatives/ancestors who may have been holocaust victims/survivors

Definitely touching! This sure makes you wonder how many others could still find significant family to connect with.

Exactly! @Carolyn Webber thats why I posted it. I could’ve just gone to the site and copied the link but this visual gives great insight to what folks may be able to achieve by searching there. It was a horrible most awful part of human history! I’m hoping this will be useful for folks who’s family members may have been lost during that time

I have often thought that I would like to help survivors find out what happened to their family members. It would be a very emotional experience. I would expect that there would be some closure, lots of tears, and a few wonderful surprises.

🤷🏻♀️I dont know🤷🏻♀️ if I could do something like that. I get way too emotional and it’s almost impossible for me to try to be neutral to any situation. I’d be a complete wreck! I volunteered at a nursing home once when I was a teenager. I’ll never forget those sweet little ladies... I can’t explain it, they smiled and were friendly and all but their families had all but forgotten about them, you could see the sadness and loneliness in their eyes, could feel it... I didn’t stay there for very long, I cried every day, it was too much for me to deal with emotionally. I just get way too emotional about things.
Did you ever see that documentary about the couple from Pennsylvania (I think) that managed to save all those children during this time period? I wonder what happened to those kids and their families?

There is a documentary about this rescue mission. I think that I would enjoy it. If anyone watches it, before I do, I would love to hear what you think about it.
