Can you help me locate records for a family member PAULINE ROSENTHAL (1847-1927), Franzburg?
(Hopefully, this is the right group. If not, please advise)
Can your community help me locate the birth and early census (1851) records and immigration route and details (into the UK) for a family member PAULINE (also known as Peena, Piene) ROSENTHAL (1847-1927)?
Can you help me find records for her father JACOB and mother JETE (Yetta, Yete) when they lived in Europe (I’m assuming also in Franzburg) before moving to England?
Pauline was Jewish and born about 1847 in Franzburg, Austria (Austria-Hungary, later Pomerania, Prussia and then the German Empire). The key record I’ve found, in addition to UK census records, is her Alien Registration No. 593 (Manchester Police) in 1914. She is shown living at 55 Ashbourne Grove, Broughton and later moving to 4 Gladstone Street, Hanley, Staffordshire. It is reported on her Alien Record that she moved to the UK in 1851 (as a child). Initially she lived in Manchester at 30 Fernie Street, prior to leaving for Stoke-on-Trent sometime after 1901.
Her father, Jacob Rosenthal (b. about 1817), was a shopkeeper living at 20 Fernie Street, Redbank, Manchester. Her mother was Jete Rosenthal (b. about 1829). On 5/8/1868, she married EMANUEL FRIESNER (various spellings) at Manchester Synagogue and died on 13/11/1927 at 4 Gladstone Street, Hanley. Jacob died 1891 Q1 and Jete in 1898 Q3, both in Manchester registration district.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this query.
