Bonsoir @AngBB AngBB ,
Well, this is the death certificate of Rosalie JAUSSAUD on December 12, 1895.
The act was transcribed on December 13, 1895 by Pierre Joeph LAGIER, Mayor and Civil Status Officer of the municipality of Saint-Julien, Canton of Saint-Bonnet, Department of Hautes-Alpes.
Joseph ACCARIER, 40 years old, husband of the deceased and Auguste VILLARD, 62 years old, neighbor of the deceased appeared.
Both are farmers and live in Saint-Julien.
They told the Mayor that Rosalie JAUSSAUD, 42 years old, farmer, living in Saint-Julien but born in Saint-Laurent du Cros {Saint-Laurent-du-Cros is a French commune also located in the Hautes-Alpes department }, daughter of Victor JAUSSAUD and Rosalie ROBIN, wife of Joseph ACCARIER died on December 12, 1895 in her house.
Everyone signs the register.
Best regards - Paul-Marc

Thank you!! I knew Joseph was her husband but I could not figure out who Auguste Villard was. Out of curiosity, was it required to have two witnesses to register a death?

Re...
Yes, at that time it was necessary to have two witnesses for births and deaths and four for marriages. 😉
