I have put a great uncle under his sister as a child, how do I change this?

Short Answer:
Process, IN ORDER:
▬ 1. COPY his PID.
▬ 2. ADD him (by ID) as a "Child" under his 'Parents', with his 'Sister' as sibling
...... [Yes', he is now a "Child" in two (x2) Families, that is OK, you fix that next]
▬ 3. DELETED his "Parent-Child" Relationship; as, a "Child" of his 'Sister'.
▬ 4. Done.
...... [That way/process you will NOT loose him, which is very easy to do]

You can go the the help system and search for the article "How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?"

Alternatively, in the grouping where he is listed incorrectly as a child, click on the "pencil" to edit. Then you may either "remove" or "replace" in the parental relationships. In your case, "replace" is probably the choice you will make, since you know the correct parents. Select "replace" and proceed to complete that new block of data. Note the ID numbers for the correct parents and use that option to place in the proper family relationship.
The process can be intimidating the first couple of time. Just note the individuals' IDs and you can make corrections easily.
