New “Looking for Lois” thread?
‼️***‼️ATTENTION @Jim Kilby @Carolyn Webber @John JohnRigler1 ‼️***‼️
hey guys can we please start a new Lois thread here? I get lost in the others, I just now saw posts that Jim made way back in The beginning of OCT. 😖 I was thinking maybe we can start a new thread here and we can insert links to the previous threads in each new thread? Let me know what y’all think pls Also, @Community.familysearch.org Feedback Is there a way to “ close” a thread? Ya know like to prevent anyone from posting new comments, but leave it so it’s readable, searchable and links to sources still work?

I’m all for that...but how?

I can close the previous threads. Jim, can you start a new question and we can go from there.

Can you transfer all the work we’ve done and all the discussions?

Jim, we won't lose the information. All of the posts will stay on the site, but I am closing the threads to stop their growth. If we start with individual questions with new posts, we will be able to follow along better. (If you don't want the posts closed, I can open them back up again.)

Goodnight morning everyone! @Carolyn Webber can we add a link to the new discussion to the old threads for those who will see them in the future? I know I’ve come across things before that I could help with, but there was no way to comment or ask a question and nothing to help me navigate to the right place to help (not here, just random sites in the past)

We could possibly do that. I will look into finding out if there is a way to link to other posts.
You can also Bookmark threads that you would like to look at again. See how to bookmark: https://community.familysearch.org/s/feed/0D53A00004Mn4VISAZ

@Mark Mitchell can you help us figure out how to navigate these long threads so that we don't lose the valuable information that has been shared? JimKilby is looking for information about his two sisters who were surrendered to the Oklahoma Children's Home Society in 1916. (Lois Kilby 5 years old and younger sister, Josephine, 3 years old.) He has been successful in locating information about his sister Josephine, but he hasn't been able to figure out what happened to Lois. The Adoption and Unknown Family group has been very willing to help him in his search for his sister.
