Origins of Slovaks in Padina, Serbia.
I am researching ancestors for a nephew in law. His ancestral family is from Padina, Serbia, but he says his parents always considered themselves Slovaks, not Serbs. There is quite a bit of information regarding the movement of ethnic Slovaks into Padina in the very early 1800's, orchestrated by Archduke Ludwig to built up the border with the Turks. Two waves of settlers were moved, apparently. I am interested in finding the names of the families who migrated. That next level of detail is very allusive. If they know 2 waves of 80 families each moved to Padina, I would think the names are recorded somewhere. Does anyone know? Thank you in advance!

This website says that there are documents regarding the Slovaks in Serbia at the Archives in Vojvodina: http://www.slovackizavod.org.rs/en/kulturno-nasledje/arhiva. It looks like most of the Slovaks in Serbia are Lutheran, not Catholic. The local church records should name the individuals who immigrated, but they do not appear to be online. I would contact the Archives in Vojvodina for more information--you may need to send a professional researcher to access the records in person.
There is also a Facebook page for Slovaks in Serbia--they may know more: https://www.facebook.com/Slováci-z-Vojvodiny-Slovaks-in-Vojvodina-Slovaci-iz-Vojvodine-143809505651338/. And this is another organization for Slovaks in Serbia: http://www.maticaslovenska.rs/.
