How does your Great Grandfather appear when you look in the "Pedigree" 'View';
as, one of your Great Grandfathers or not?
Are you referring to the "View My Relationship" link/button?

OK; so, the "View My Relationship" link/button ...
But, again I ask ...
How does your Great Grandfather appear when you look in the "Pedigree" 'View';
as, one of your Great Grandfathers or not?

When you go to the Person Record that you think is your Great Grandfather and select the "View My Relationship", the only reason that he would show as a cousin instead of a direct ancestor is if you are not linked directly to him through your parents and through their parents to him.
Just open the pedigree chart with you at the root and follow your ancestors back only THREE generations. At that point you will see about 8 people. If he is not in that group, then you are not documented in the FSFT database as being a descendant of his.
You can prove this to yourself by going to his person Record and setting him as the root on a pedigree, then turn on the decendancy chart and follow it down 3 generations. You should find yourself there. If you don't then you are not properly connected in your branch of the tree.
Another possibility is that you tried making the observation from someone else's FS account where you do not exist as a living person in the account hooked up to your parents and so forth.
The bottom line is that if any kind of grandparent of yours shows up as a cousin instead of a direct ancestor, it is because that branch of the tree between you and them is missing one or more parent-child relationships.
Your segment of the FSFT in that area is incomplete or someone has broken it.

well I am 100% sure he is my great grandfather

It's good that you feel that way, it makes some things easier 😀
I hope that you are referencing a person record that is actually in the FamilySearch FamilyTree and not an historical record that you have found by searching in FS. You have not given us the PID number of his person record in the FSFT yet. That would help a lot.
Assuming that you are looking at his record in the FSFT, go to the "Details" tab on his person record and scroll down to the "Family Members" section. You should be able to see him there with all of his children which will include one of your grandfathers or grandmothers (i.e., his child that is your direct ancestor).
After doing this, click on the name of your grandparent (i.e. your great Grandfather's child) and go to their "Person" page.
Now repeat all this on that Grandparent's page--go down to the "Family Members" section and look at all the children listed there. Either your mother or your father should be seen there.
So again, click on the name of your parent and go to their person page. Scroll down to the "Family Members" section and you should see yourself listed there as a child of your parent.
If you discover anything in that chain between your record and your great grandfather's record missing, that explains why the "View My Relationship" function does not see him as your Great Grandfather, and so it looks for other kinship paths that may exist. You will need to add any missing links in your ancestral line between your person record and his in the FSFT.
There are MANY mistakes in the FSFT database. Just because he is your great grandfather does not mean that anyone has recorded your ancestry yet (or recorded it correctly) in the database. That will be your own personal responsibility in the one shared FamilySearch FamilyTree database--to add those missing links who are your ancestors.
One last item. Please be aware that any records for persons who are still living which you have entered into the FSFT can only be seen by you. If you were to go into someone else's account and did a "View My Relationship" it is NOT going to be relative to any records in your own account as the relationship tool doesn't look at any living records in the system except those in the account that you are logged in as.
Hope this helps some!

can you share with us the ID's for the people you are referencing so we can take a look.
Please realize that people dont have private trees in FamilySearch - it is one family tree that we all collaboratively work on.
This is a great video to watch:

and how do I go to your tree?? nothing in your string of posts tells me what your line of descent is.
or where to look
so I am asking if you can share names, or ID's so we can see your line.
