Is there a way to add yourself as someone who'd like to do the temple work for a specific ancestor?
If I go to "Messages" on FamilySearch, I have a "Discoveries" message called "Temple Reservations." The note states: "Share Your Reserved Names with Family. A few of your living relatives have volunteered to help you do the temple work for names you have reserved." If I then click on the blue "Yes! I want to share!" button, it takes me to a "Share the love with your family" page (https://www.familysearch.org/campaign/reservation/share?icid=fsm_res_name_holder) on FamilySearch.
At this page is a list of a few of my ancestors, with an option to "Share with" someone. There's a drop-down box next to each ancestor, and it's labeled "Choose a Helper." If I click on the drop-down box , there's a list of one or two names of people who supposedly might want to do the temple work for that ancestor; I can select a person's name and click "Share," and then they can do the work.
How do people get added to that drop-down box? For example, I have an ancestor my mom would really like to do the work for, but the person who has reserved the name (and shared it with the temple, I believe) hasn't responded to her email, so is there a way for her to get added to this list of names of people who'd be willing to do the work for a specific ancestor? Or how does that list get created?

Just make a case and request to do the temple work for that person. First gather the ID Number for the ancestor (the xxxx-xxx number/letter group found near the person's name), that person's birth and death info if known and the person's parents and/or spouse. This info helps identify the person.
Next go to the top of the FamilySearch page where your name is found - click on the drop down linked to your name and choose Contact Us.
On the page that comes up go down to Send Us a Message. Choose Temple for the topic and then create a title like I want to request to do the ordinances reserved by others for (Name of Ancestor) ID (give the number). In the body of the message give all the data you gathered and explain how you are related to this Ancestor. Good luck.
