and here’s the thing... cause y’all prob know by now I don’t spend any money unless I absolutely HAVE to lol.... the test was actually taken by my older brothers oldest daughter - my niece.... so she made me manager of her account and info and placed herself inside my tree (or something like that... whatever the ancestry instructions were for me to be able to do it this way lol) so it’s actaully her dna which I realize prob makes it all seem different now but I’m not sure how lol... I mean if she’s my brothers daughter then she’s David’s Great granddaughter so the results that would point to him I realize wouldn’t be the same if it were my dna but any results that point to him is all I’m looking for or care about for now. Does that make sense? Or am I crazy and need to just go back to bed? 😂

I posted a dna question in the dna group. I prob should’ve tagged you. Should I post it here instead? Or tag you? Or both? Cause I know you’ll prob know the answer lol

It is best to choose the closest relative to the person that you are trying to learn more about. Your niece's DNA may have information that could help you locate your grandfather's family. Your father's DNA would be the most useful. If you watch for sales around the holidays, you can probably catch a sale price. Your nieces DNA will be useful to compare with your father's DNA and other matches.
