@louiseMenezes , have you had any luck with your search? Did you search in all of the links found on the FamilySearch Wiki for India research helps? There are so many there that can lead you to record types and organizations that may provide you with specific records to search there.
There are quite a few records that are only available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. It is closed at this time due to Covid. It would be a good idea for you to make note of the possible records there that may include your ancestor. When the library reopens, do you have a way to gain access to those records or know of someone there?
When a search result shows you that it is a book and it gives you the option to search on WorldCat for possible locations for that book, make sure you try that option. It is possible you will find a library closer to you that houses that book.
You said the family lived mainly in Madras. Do you have other locations you know they lived? Did Joseph live anywhere else that you know of? Possibilities arise for finding parents and siblings when you trace the individual. Families often moved together.
I did a general Google search on "cemeteries in Madras, India." That pulled up quite a bit. It is possible to contact various cemeteries individually via the web, or view their internments online. See if there are concentrations of Pavey surnames anywhere.
Do you see any naming patterns in the family? For instance, are there other more recent members who have repeated names from older members. Naming patterns often help find ancestors. (ie: little Johnny was named after his grandfather Johanson/Johnathan/etc.)

Hi Lou,
Have you looked at everything in the FamilySearch Catalog for Madras? https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=166872&query=%2Bplace%3A%22India%2C%20Madras%22
