Good translation for "National" in "National des Buchinabers"
I'm translating a page from a German military packet (WWI). One document was to be glued to the "Paß und National." Another sheet/form is titled "Nationale des Buchinhabers" and includes information about the enlistee's name, birth, residence, occupation, religion, if married, date of enlistment, and troop details.
Thanks.

I would translate "Nationale des Buchinhabers" as "holder's personal details [and military service]"
"Pass und National" pretty much means "passport and identity card".
I suspect that it would be quite a challenge to find a direct English equivalent for that particular meaning of "National". It's interesting to see how language develops.
