I am looking for sources of death records for Donauschwaben/German community residing in or around,
My great grandfather, Peter Krisch, born 12 March 1854, birth listed in Familienbuch for Grosskomlosch. No death date listed. Wife immigrated to the US as a Widow in 1903. Family confirms Peter remained in Europe. I would like to learn what happened to him. If you know of any databases to search for death records, civil or church, for that area, I would appreciate it.

Arlene,
there appears to be a Familienbuch for Hatzfeld covering 1766-1920. A copy is available at the Family History Library: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/2630699?availability=Family%20History%20Library.
Roman Catholic death records are available online through Ancestry.com for Jimbolia in their collection "Romania, Vital Records from Selected Regions, 1607-1914". https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/5412/images/44090_jimboli%5E%5E27-00003?backurl=&ssrc=&backlabel=Return
For additional help with ancestors from the Banat area you will want to join the Austro-Hungarian Empire group.

Camille,
Thank you. I did get the Hatzfeld pages, but his death date is not listed. That is where my grandfather and his parents lived. I will look again into the Ancestry database for Jimbolia. I might need to check surrounding towns. I will check out the Austro-Hungarian Empire group, are they on Family Search? I did not see it, will look again. I am in some other Donauschwaben groups. Thanks again!

Also I notice the Austro-Hungarian Empire group covers Czech Republic and Moravia. There is also a Czech Republic group I joined. This is where the Krisch line I mentioned migrated from and traced back to and I am stuck around 1723 there in Haberschi, Moravia.
