Catalog Update & Additions
Does FamilySearch ever publish lists of what is being added to the catalog (new microfilm, or DGS), rather than the Collections List?
I feel that the Collections List (https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/collection/list) doesn't fully cover updates to the catalog? There is a lot of content in the catalog that doesn't appear in that Collections List.
There must be some way to review the newest microfilm/DGS content that's being added to the actual catalog?

@Nick Gombash - We will do some checking to see if there is a list available. Thanks!

The Newsroom publishes a regular blog with updates. In addition, a number of bloggers dive deeper into what's new. For example, Randy Seaver regularly reviews what collections have grown and which have shrunk in his Genea-Musings blog.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile Those blog posts are for the same Collections List I mentioned above. I'm specifically looking for additions to the catalog, not the Historical Records Collection that consists of indexed and digitized "collections." I am speakingspeaking of the new, raw microfilm/DGS being added to the actual CATALOG.
There are groups on Facebook for Ukrainian genealogy that fairly regularly (almost weekly) make posts about recently-scanned content by FamilySearch. Sometimes it's not even put directly onto FamilySearch (anywhere), but rather uk.wikisource.org. They must be finding this information somewhere? We must be able to find this information for places other than Ukraine as well?0 -
@Nick Gombash One way to see new content (of DGS items with images):
Sign in to FamilySearch and click Search and then Images.Scroll down on the page to Access to billions of documents and click View Recently Added Images. You;ll see the newest stuff. You can use the Refine Search option to filter to places/dates/events of interest. And the Options button lets you decide what you want to see displayed about the items in the results list.

@Nick Gombash - Thank you for your feedback. Records are not currently being listed as updated in the catalog. Lists of additional records are being updated in other databases associated with FamilySearch.
