brick wall in family search
(note that i was born more recently, not disclosing year, so most records are not available.)
i have made a few more posts on my research's brick walls and i have reached another brick wall.
i was born in (location removed) to mr. jeon and ms. ha, they were not married, so i am illegitimate. my father was not present due to my parents separating, because of my father not being there, i was given my mother's surname, ha (河). my name in korean is ha pureum (or 河翠緑 in hanja chatacters). i had attempted reaching to the agency but it did not end successfully. i had also attempted to search the family registers (jokbos), but it ended up taking too long and i gave up quickly.
i had also taken a dna test from ancestry, and found that my ethnicity was 100% korean. i had also uploaded it to other sites in case, and the results were extremely mixed, from european to even… mesoamerican? 🤨 the dna sites had also found more cousins, not too close, but to around the 4th cousin zone.
this project I have been doing is extremely difficult and i need assistance in researching this. do you think you can help me come into contact with people in korea alongside with possible people of the ha family? (the jinyang ha clan is my mother's branch of the ha family)
Additional Notes: I was relinquished by my mother, after she had left my father. She had also temporarily left her job during her pregnancy, but it is said she had returned to her job after my birth and relinquishment.
if you ever need more information, be sure to ask, I will answer as soon as I can.
Thank you,
(name removed)
