Looking for Hermogenes "Neno" Gilabert. Perhaps son of Pascual Gilabert?
Hello! I've been trying to find Hermogenes "Neno" Gilabert actively for the last 6 months. We know he lived in the Dominican Republic (Nagua, Matanzas, María Trinidad Sánchez) in the early 1900's. We believe he was married to Rita Hilario and had 3 children with her (Matilde, María de Jesús and Francisco). He might have been born in the Dominican Republic or he could have been born in Spain (Zaragoza?, Galicia?). He might be related to Pascual Gilabert, who was born in Gelsa, Aragón, Zaragoza and married Casiana Falet. Could he be their child? Is he Pascual's brother? Please, if you have any info, it will be well appreciated. Thank you.

There is a profile for a Neno Gilabert KJDT-NLQ on FamilySearch that may be the person you are looking for. He was married to Ana Rita Hilaro Ortiz KJDT-NL7. The profile says he was born in Galicia, Espana around 1880, but there are no sources attached to the profile to prove this.
You might find information by looking at the FamilySearch Wiki page for Dominican Republic Online Genealogy Records. It has links to online collections from Dominican Republic.

Ashlee, thank you so much! Yes, this is him. I've been looking at sources in the Dominican Records and there's info on some of his children but no sign of his birth certificate (in case he was born in the DR after all), marriage certificate nor death certificate.

I haven't seen a death certificate for Hermogenes Neno Gilabert. But here is a possible death certificate for Ana Rita Hilaro Ortiz. It lists her husband as Jose Gilabert. Her parents names are also given and it is in Nagua, which is where all the children were born. If this is your Neno Gilabert's wife it might give you a little more information to work from. Of course, you'll need to figure out if Neno Gilabert was the same person as Jose Gilabert. This was found in Dominican Republic Civil Registration, 1801-2010.
Also, if you look at Neno Gilabert KJDT-NLQ, you will see a record hint that is possibly for his daughter, Matilde Hilario. This record says that Neno was difunto, or deceased, at the time of Matilde's marriage in 1951. You might want to search for his other children's marriage records to see if they can give you any more information.

Thank you, Ashlee for your time and all your help. Indeed, Rita Hilario was Neno's wife. I have found information on his children: some birth certificates, some death and marriage certificates, and on his wife. Nevertheless, even having checked marriage and birth records from 1885 until 1904, one by one, I haven't found anything on him. In his children's certificates he is listed as Nino, Niño, José, Pascual, unknown parent…. but there's no record of him.
I keep thinking that he must be a son of Pascual Gilabert or maybe his younger brother but I can't find the link between them, except maybe for the fact that some of Pascual's children married into the Hilario Ortiz family, and Neno's wife is Hilario Ortiz.
