Italian Translation of marriage record of Urbano Camillo Torto and Maria Carolina Saracello- Help
I have attached a marriage record ( I believe) of Urbano Camillo torto and Maria Carolina Saracello. It is contained in their marriage processetti on the last two pages (front and back). There is alot of information contained with names, dates and relationships. I would greatly appreciate a translation of this record as it seems some of it may conflict with the previous latin translations i have had from other pieces in this processtti. I hope my translating is just wrong and a correct translation will correlate with the other documents. Thank you so much for your help. There is a front and back page with a lot of bleed through. These are direct ancestors.
Thank you!! Emily

That is just a manuscript copy of the marriage promessa (it is the "return copy", which was provided to the church and signed after the religious celebration of the marriage, then returned to the comune so that the right column of the first page could be completed). The original is much easier to read:

Groom: Urbano Camillo Torto, age 17, son of Antonio Torto and of Lucia Maccaione
Bride: Maria Carolina Saracello, age 20, daughter of deceased Domenico (died in Bucchianico 31 Aug 1799) and of Nicola della Rocca
Bride's paternal grandfather Stefano Saracello (died 1 Sep 1802)
Church marriage celebrated 7 Feb 1820The main difference between the original and the return copy is that the return copy includes the name and signature of the priest certifying the marriage (he may have performed the marriage himself, but it's impossible to say). It appears to be the Archpriest, Pontaleone Sanvalentini.

Cousin Vinny - I actually feel like you are a cousin now that you have helped me so much with so many of my translations :)
I appreciate this explanation and link for an easier document to read! It now makes more sense to me. I do have one more question you might be able to explain to me . You were able to translate the Latin death records for Domenico and Stefano in this same marriage processetti for me earlier. The dates on the latin record for their deaths however do not match up with the death date recorded on this marriage record.
Latin death record for Domenico Sarcello says he died 18 August 1800
Marriage record shows he died 31 Aug 1799
Latin death record for Stefano Saracello says he died 1 September 1807
Marriage record shows he died 1 September 1802
Do you have any idea why these would not be the same?
Thank you again!

For Stefano Saracello, it's because I must have misread the 2 as a 7 in the extract. It's very hard to tell the difference and there's no way to compare all the numbers side by side:

For Domenico, I can't explain the discrepancy other than perhaps the scribe preparing the promessa got confused and wrote the date for another death record he was looking at. Mistakes happen. 😔
