Translation & Research Help for baby & mother's death (Denmark)
Hi, would someone be so kind as to translate the information in the records for Johanne Cathrine Hansen? I'm fairly sure it's:
Birth: Nov 26, 1871
Baptism: Dec 16, 1871
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGD6-TNBG
Death: Dec 23 1871
Burial: Dec 26, 1871
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGDX-3GLQ
I’d like to know what exactly the two entries say. And help finding another piece.
What is the proper way of writing the location for the location?
Does it say where she was buried?
According to her Jorgen’s (her father) obituary, she and her mother, Marie Rosine Lyngby, were buried side by side. I’d really like to know exactly when Marie died and where they are both buried. I know Marie died between October 3, 1873 and July 1874. Her and Jorgen’s son John was born Oct 3 1871, and Jorgen arrived in the U.S. in July 1874 with John.
What I have on Marie. I don’t understand the way her family’s surnames work.
I’d great appreciate the help.

I searched for Marie's death in the churchbooks for Åstrup parish with no success. It may be they were in a different parish when she passed. Or the problem could result from Haderslev, the county, being taken into Schleswig-Holstein in 1871/1874ish. You may need to look in the German records for that area. I'm not sure what you might do to track down her death/burial at this time.
Marie's surname Lyngby comes from her mother because she was illegitimate. Her birth entry here states that Georg Hansen was only the alleged/charged/assumed father. Marie was given her mother's surname because of that.

Thank you, Forrest!
I wondered if that was why Marie had her mother’s last name. But then why would Marie and Jorgen Johannssen’s daughter have Hansen as a surname?
Their son Johannes was born in Vilstrup, Haderslev on 3 Oct 1873, and baptized on the 6th. Perhaps Marie died there before July 1874?

Its not clear why Johanne is given the name Hansen. Since there are only two records for her, her birth and her death, and she only lived a few months, I'm not sure what you could do to find out.
You could certainly check for Marie's death in Vilstrup parish and any other surrounding parishes in the area. Here is a link to a map of parishes in Haderslev (its towards the middle of the page) https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Haderslev_County,_Denmark_Genealogy
