    Before the undersigned civil registrar appeared today, personally known, the corpse washer Anna Lewis, née Wendrich, residing in Lauban, and reported that the unmarried Johann Wagenknecht, without occupation, 69 years old, Evangelical religion, residing in Lauban, Naumburgerstrasse 23, born in Holzkirch, District Lauban (information about the parents of the deceased is unknown), died at Lauban in his residence on the 13th of October of the year 1901 at 8:00 am. The informant stated that she is aware of this death from her personal knowledge.
