Hello @Ulrich Neitzel,
What does the word "Gefreiter" mean? I have come across several different definitions including "private" and "lance corporal".
I believe the word written in the death record is the decedent's civilian profession "Töpfermeister" = master potter (as opposed to "Jägermeister").
Thank you.

Hello @Robert Seal_1 ,
you are correct, Albert Beermann is a Töpfermeister. I corrected my translation accordingly, thank you.
Gefreiter is the second lowest military rank; I am not entirely sure what the corresponding rank in the British or US army is called.
