Do you read this profession/post as Oeptmanß and what would it be?
6th entry on left hand side for 4 Oct 1640.
What do you read the first godmother's husband's profession as in this 1640 Alsace baptism record? Something like Oeptmanß or starting with Q or D? Couldn't find a match. And do you read that godmother's name as Einbeth?

The profession of Johann Heinrich Hertenfrings(?) is Amptman (Amtmann) = public official, civil servant. The "ß" at the end is just the genitive ending ( -s).
The godmother's name is actually Einbeth, a rather rare name. But it is known from one of the three "Betens", a group of legendary saints, see
or (in German).1
