Thank-you! Joseph is my 2nd great-grandfather. And now I have the names of his parents. How wonderful. This will hopefully enable me to go further back in my tree.
My maiden name is Baumgartner. In the records, is that an umlaut over the "u"? Would that be the original spelling? Also, what does farmer 51 mean? Is it an address?
And thanks for pointing me to a sibling. I have trouble with the script. Would the name be Anton?

The name of the infant on image 474 is Peter.
The u in the surname does not have an umlaut. The loop above it is called an U Bogen, and is used to distinguish the u from an n, which are otherwise written identically.
51 is the number of the property in Gundelsdorf. It's like an address, but not to be confused with a street number. Here's a link to Gundelsdorf in Meyer's Gaz -

Re the number: I grew up in a small village near Augsburg - address was "Deuringen Nr. 47", i.e. the 47th house (chronologically) built in that village. Only later street names were introduced, incl. the usual house numbers.
