Hi everyone, I wanted to ask you a favor.

I was looking for an ancestor's birth certificate to complete a family research folder and was wondering if you could help me find it and send it to me. His name is Miguel Rossetto, he was born in Turin in 1868, also, I think his father's name is Giuseppe but I'm not sure. I have already searched several websites and sent emails to the civil registries in Italy but I have had no luck.

There's a chance we can find the birth record, but it would sure help a great deal if you could provide a little more background:

1. How certain are you of the surname spelling and year 1868? Does this info come from another document that you have such as his marriage or death?
2. If you have found another document for him, can you provide a link to it?
3. There are around 2,000 to 2,500 births in Torino (Turin) every year during this period in time. So, it is a lengthy two step process - one must first search the indexes and hope to find a possible record. Then, slug through the actual records to find the one from the index entry.
4. Is there any chance he was born sometime between 1866 and 1870, or does 1868 come from someplace certain? For example, a death record from 1928 saying he was 60 could mean he was born in any number of years as those ages are not reliable.
5. Could the surname be Rossatto or Rossetti, or once again, are you certain it is Rossetto.
6. Like Palermo, Genoa and other large cities, there are many, many towns in the Province of Torino (315 comuni) - are you certain about him being from Torino, Torino or is there a chance he was born in one of the many communities within Torino?

I don't want it to sound like I doubt your info, but some additional background may help narrow it down and save lots of time.

Hi! Thank you so much for answearing and helping!

I am confident about the year and the surname, however, his name may have been Michele or Michelle and turned into Miguel when he moved to Argentina. About the city, I guess it can be some comuni in Torino and no Torino, Torino, but I don't really know.

I have none other documentation, but i know he married Clara Audisio and had 10 children: Catalina, Pedro, José, Juan Bautista, Margarita, Francisco, Pablo, Juana, Feliza and Ana Barbarita

He died in Las Varillas, Córdoba, Argentina the 06/06/1919 but I couldn't found the death record yet.

His name would be Michele. Do you know when he arrived in Argentina? Did he marry in Argentina, or did he marry before he left Italy?

They probably got married in Italy because their first children were born there, but I don't know where or when. Regarding his trip to Argentina, it must have been between 1892 and 1897 (also based on the birth of their children)

@Nestor Martinez1 I saw that too but by 1899 he must have been 31 years! I thought that it was a mistake, but I couldn't find his wife nor first two children in that ship (who where born in Italy), so I figured it wasn't him. Thanks though!
