Bug Report: Large Imported Notes prevents upload of all that person's notes
The following bug report was received from an early access tester & I'm reposting here for the benefit of all:
When a person's profile "Notes" are uploaded in CET, if such notes exceed the usual length allowed for notes then that person's profile does not upload any of that person's notes and also issues an "error" when doing so. This could become an issue for some people and family organizations who have entered extensive genealogical or historical information into "Notes" instead of or in addition to "Stories" etc. However, I found a work-around to this problem by manually going in and dividing the length of such notes into two parts.
Response
Thank you for identifying this issue. A bug report will be created and filed to the engineering team.
Question:
How large are your largest genealogical notes on any single tree person in your databases/Gedcoms? We need to get a feel for how large of notes we need to support. There will always be edge cases where someone wants to put in the text of entire books about their person, and supporting notes of infinite size would be a unacceptable.
