ALL USERS: CET Serious Bugs Identified & Fixed: Next Steps
CET Testing Update:
In recent testing, several serious problems were discovered that will require deleting and reuploading a Gedcom file to resolve.
What Were The Problems?
- A category of user notes (Level 1 Notes) included in the Gedcom files were not being imported.
- Notes using custom templates in the originating product were formatted poorly.
- When a vital event contained multiple sources, only one of the sources was being properly tagged to the event.
Engineers have resolved and deployed fixes for the issues. There is no way to go back and retroactively apply the fixes to existing trees created prior to the code enhancements. For affected notes to be properly included in the trees, all previous trees will need to be deleted and re-uploaded. We sincerely hope that since this was identified early after uploading trees during this early access phase of use that no one will experience lost work.
