Where to find Information on my Ancestors
Hello Everyone,
I have been researching my Italian Ancestry for a couple of years now. I have just recently completed a DNA test however I don't seem to have many hits to Italy. I believe my Great Great Grandad originated from Sicily in 1856 (Donato Zottarelli), I believe his father was Giambattista Zottarelli, however I have no other information on him other than that he married a Arcangela Lauletta. I would love to find out more information on that side of the family as at the moment it is very limited.
Any Help or somewhere to point me in the right directions would be greatly appreciated.
Kindest of Regards,
Chris

What information do you have that suggests this? Immigration records would be ideal.

Echoing @Cousin Vinny here, we need a bit more info:
- What info do you have for sure, such as where and when they died, where and when they married
- Perhaps one or two links to Census records or death index listings, etc
Rsearching Italian ancestors begins here in the US - piecing together their lives allows us to come upon records that may reveal the town in Italy they came from. These records include Passenger Manifests, Naturalization records, obituaries and Draft registration cards.
Help us help you.
