Sharing image from Ancestry for Translation
How do I change a link address (images, etc.) from Ancestry that can be opened by those who don't have an Ancestry subscription? I've seen the links in this group and the address has the word "share" in the address. Thanks!

I think I found it… I found the button "share" in the top right corner, pressed "copy link" and then pasted that as the reference. Sorry. I thought I tried that before and the receiver couldn't open it still. If there is a better way, I'd love to try it. Thanks again…

There's a small workaround for the recipient since Ancestry made some changes about 13 months ago.
Example, using the record from your previous thread:The Ancestry URL https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/184080:9153
Then, when your recipient, without an Ancestry subscription, opens that URL, he/she will need to click on the face of the image and choose "open in new tab."
The resulting URL will end in &maxWidth=520 and the recipient will need to DELETE that part of the URL. Then the image can be zoomed and read easily.
