Oppau Research Question and Location of Records
Would the surname "Berry" be interchangeable the same as the surname "Barrie"?
Also, Family Search does not have the following records. Does anyone know if these records are available online instead of having to hire a researcher to go to the Stadtarchiv Ludwigshafen?
Reformiertes Kirchenbuch Oppau und Edigheim: Tauf-, Sterbe- und Heiratsregister 1776 - 1798 im Stadtarchiv Ludwigshafen (bearb. vom Verfasser)
Französisches Zivilstandsregister von Oppau: im Stadtarchiv Ludwigshafen (bear. vom Verfasser)
I have been using "Die Einwohner von Oppau und Edigheim 1480 - 1813" by Oskar Poller, but I would like to find original sources to document what he has in this book.
Thank you for your help!

Neither Berry nor Barrie is at all a common name in Germany. See -

You may also find records for these towns on archion.de but this site requires a subscription.

@sylviaelchinger1 Thank you for answering. I didn't think of looking at Edigheim and maybe some of the records that I am looking for will be there. The Reformed Church for Oppau did not have the time period that I needed. Someone suggested that I check ancestry.com. I am finding some of the records there. So far, in the little bit of research that I did today, I am finding that there is some conflicting information between the records and Osker Poller's book, so I want to try to be as accurate as possible. I did look at Archion, but I didn't find the Reformed records. They could still be there and I could have missed them.
It is interesting to me that Berry/Barrie are not common names in Germany. That is very helpful.
Thank you so much for your help!
