Can you please provide links to these records? When I looked up the first entry, the record numbers on image 40 were around 400, and nothing matched up.

Thank you! Some films have been divided up for digital presentation in specific collections, which results in different image numbers. This is what happened here.
Deaths December 1837
#125 died on the 12th at 8pm and was buried on the 14th in the evening.
Jakob Hausauer, colonist, farmer, page in the family book 387, born in Kleburg, age 74 years, male, widowed, died of consumption, lead an honorable life. Burial service by pastor Ponsel.
Deaths July and August 1836
#47 died on 23 August at 8 am, buried on the 25th at noon.
Eva Margaretha Hausauer, maiden name Bender, wife of Jakob Hausauer, colonist, farmer, # in the family book: 387, birthplace "Rehoenthaler Hof" [sic!] in Elsass, age 55, female, married died of a chest ailment, service held by schoolteacher Spirg.
Note: I wonder if Eva's birthplace should really be "Schoent[h]aler Hof"

yes, left side 4th down, Johann Jacob, son of Jacob. But this is 1762, so I think this may be an older sibling who died. Try looking for other Hausauers going forward.

Johann Jacob on the top of the right side is the son of Henrich Eppel. The entry below that is for Matthes, son of Peter Hausauer.

The second entry on the right side of image 16 is for Johannes, son of Georg Hausauer.

On the bottom of the same image is Georg, son of Balthasar Hausauer.

According to his death record, Jacob was 74 years old in December of 1837, which results in a calculated birth year of 1763. On image 14 I see
"Joh.[ann] Jacob, born 3 baptized 6 March 1763
parents: Siegfried Hausauer, barrel maker employed by the local lord, and wife Elisabeth
godparents: Jacob Eppel. citizen and master tailor, Johannes Barthel [= Bartholomeus] Hausauer's wife Elisabetha, Jacob Hausauer's daughter, all from here.

Formerly Kleeburg in Alsace, see Kleeburg (meyersgaz.org), it is now Cleebourg in Bas-Rhin, France. See Cleebourg - Wikipedia
One question to ask is whether your ancestors were married before they went to Russia. If yes, chances are that the wife's birthplace is not too far away from Kleeburg.
