Wroclaw Marriage Records

Hello All, I am trying to locate my grandparent's marriage certificate without any luck. Here is the information I am looking for:

Groom: Maximillan Hirschler

Bride: Helene Riess Her birthdate: December 4,1888

Date of Marriage: June 8,1915

Her parent's address : Ohlauer Stadtgraben 26 now ul.Podwale 26.(Breslau II)

I have found her birth certificate information at the Archives Panstowe we Wroclawiu, but can't find any marriage records for that period. Would this be anywhere besides in the Wroclaw records?

Barbara, you may research basia.famula.pl click on More in the center, then scroll down the list of parishes till you get to Wroclaw, then scroll down till you find the following list of marriages in year 1913:

• Heirats NebenRegister Standesamt Breslau III 1913 Band 1 1913 (82/1427/2/76)
• Heirats NebenRegister Standesamt Breslau III 1913 Band 2 1913 (82/1427/2/77)
• Heirats NebenRegister Standesamt Breslau III 1913 Band 5 1913 (82/1427/2/78)
• Heirats NebenRegister Standesamt Breslau III 1913 Band 6 1913 (82/1427/2/79)
• Heirats NebenRegister Standesamt Breslau III 1913 Band 7 1913 (82/1427/2/80)

Then select the numbers in blue. You will be referred to szukajwarchiwach which is Polish State Archives. You have had some experience researching those records and hopefully there is marriage record of your ancestors in one of those sites. You will need to search on 1 2 3 4 sets of scans. Please note that there are instructions in the heading of Polish Research Community with Resource Links, but especially Szukajwarchiwach If you cannot find it, you may need to contact:

You may write to them in English or German, (they may use googletranslate) providing the names of your ancestors, the date of marriage, and the date and place of birth of the bride, also maybe the copy of her birth record, so that they know the location and the Church or Civil Records Office. Wroclaw is a city of over 630.000 residents and you need to give them all the information to make it easier to locate this marriage record. Good luck with your search.

Thank-you very much for your response. I was not able to locate their records at the Polish State Archives or basia.famula.pl. I will contact sekretariat@wroclaw.ap.gov.pl with the details I have. I sent an email today to the Jewish HIstory Institute in hopes that they can provide some help. Thanks again!

Barbara, since you mentioned Jewish History Institute for the first time, you will need to let the Archives know that their religion is Jewish. This may be totally different set of Jewish records rather than German.
