If I know a specific film number and a fairly specific date, is it possible to request a look-up of a record? The film I want is not available online. If look-ups are available, is it possible to get a digit copy of the page?

@Steve Schell The official look-up service from Salt Lake City has been discontinued.

I visit my FamilySearch Center and Affiliate Library often for my own research, and I regularly do look-ups for others. If you will give me the information, I'll see what I can do.

Here's the information if you want to give it a try.

I am looking for the birth/baptismal record for Catharina Metzger. I think her father is Matthew Metzger and mother is Maria Josephina Fischer. I have two dates, the only difference is being a year apart: 26 Dec 1841 or 26 Dec 1842.

The information should be on FHL film# 367,530 for Edenkoben; Kirchenbuch 1677-1961

@Steve Schell According to the catalog, Film 367530 is only available in Salt Lake City. That means I won't be able to help. You'll need someone who is in SLC or who visits there.
