Translation of Antonia Hemmer Baptismal Record
Hello,
Thank you in advance for your translation. The link and image is the April 16, 1876 baptismal record of Antonia Hemmer, illegitimate daughter of Josefa Hemmer. This record is from Koflach, Austria. Any additional information you can provide from the record besides where Antonia was born would be helpful.
Where Antonia was born?
- Was she born in a village called Markt in House #96 that is near Koflach?
- Or was Antonia born in Judenburg, where her mother Josefa Hemmer was living in house #96 on Market Street or Square in the jurisdiction of Lignitz, Judenburg? If so it is confusing that the baptism record was in a Koflach church and not in Judenburg. I suspect her mother went to Koflach to give birth.
Thank you for your help,
Tammi

Comment: I would assume that "Markt" is a village/hamlet in the parish of Köflach; however, I don't know the area and could not find such a place on modern maps. However, I see that the municipality of Ligist has a part which is called "Ligist Markt", so it may be this one (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ligist)
