Confirmation of handwritten surname, please
Hi!
I found a record that seems to fit with the death of Caspar Henrich Höttger but the surname doesn't look quite right - no double "t" and it doesn't look like a "g". Does this seem like the correct surname?

I read Casper Heinr. Hötker which may well be a spelling variant. Spelling was less strict in the past. However, you should check all other facts (birth date, age, place etc.) to decide if this is likely to be the same person.

Thank you for your reply, Ulrich! I just found his marriage record, which shows the alternate spelling.
