KOTZ Maria Catharina's illegitimate child's birth record 1755 - translation help

Can someone help me with this birth entry. I'm a little confused. It is the birth/baptism record of the illegitimate daughter of Maria Catharina Kotz. The record is the 6th image down on the left-hand page and takes up three rows beginning with Maria Catharina. The parish is Münchingen, Leonberg, Württemberg, Germany
What I think so far is that Maria Catharine, the daughter of Johannes Koz, citizen and Weingärtner, gave as the father of the child Christian Schöntag from ?????
Taufzeugen (witnesses) were Friederich Schopf single; Anna Maria; Michael Schmalzriedin sentor ux: Maria Catharine ?????
I can't make out a lot of that portion of the entry. Then it says that the child was born 11 Feb and baptized the same day and given the name of Maria Catharina. She died 15 Jun 1757 at the age of 2 years. There is a reference to the FR I, 28. The priest attached this child to the wrong mother in the FR. He said she was the daughter of Anna Maria, not Anna Catharina.
Was I pretty accurate in my translation of what I could read? Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you. Marcia Vogeler

You've done pretty well with your translation. Here's a bit more in bold -
Maria Catharine, daughter of the deceased Johannes Koz, citizen and Weingärtner [vintner], gave as the father of the child Christian Schöntag from Engstlatt. Taufzeugen (witnesses) were Friederich Schopf single; Anna Maria; Michael Schmalzriedin sentor ux: [wife Maria Catharine Renschler [or maybe Reuschler] from Ditzingen. The child was born 11 February and baptized the same day. The name of the infant was Maria Catharina. Died 15 June 1757, age 2 years.
The FR 1.28 probably refers to the entry in the Family Register. I'm not sure if the 1.28 means Vol. 1 page 28, or if it's just 128 and that's an extraneous ink spot. Look at other entries on the page and you'll see that some are marked with II, xx - meaning Vol. II and some page number, whereas the others are just marked with FR and a page number, but no volume number.
Here's the link for Engstlatt - https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10441093.

Just a minor adjustment:
From the grammar of the sentence I think Anna Maria is the wife of Michael Schmalzried, the senator (elderman).

Thank you so much for your help!!! It's nice to know that I can get help as well as confirmation of what I think I'm reading :) My highschool German helps a little but my lack of vocabulary makes it a little more difficult to be sure of what I'm reading. The various priests' difficult handwriting also presents problems but I am getting better. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you for your clarification. I never understood English grammer until I started learning German, and I am still not great with German grammer because of German sentence structure, etc. Thank you again.
