Is there a way to contact a person who has added info in the Tree but isn't a member of this Group?
I overheard the other day, a staff member at the local FS Ctr. tell someone they could contact a person who had added detail to an ancestor in the FS Tree. I didn't hear the rest of the conversation.
There is someone who has added lots of correct info to a large number of people in a branch of my ancestors in the 1700s. I tried clicking on the name in the tree notes, but that didn't take me to where I could contact the person. There was a Chat option, but I have no idea what time zone the person lives. So that doesn't seem to be a good option -- unless this chat feature works differently than other sites. I also searched among the members of this group for her name, but there were no results.
Thank you for any help.

Hello Elizabeth,
See if the following information helps you out: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-use-familysearch-chat
Note under "Read and respond to chats" (1.) states: "The FamilySearch Chats page is similar to most email inboxes."

Perfect. Thank you. "Similar to email" will work great. I read the instructions and am excited to give it a try. You are a master of all that is Family Search. And so kind to answer so many questions.
Happy Christmas Eve, Robert!

You're welcome, Elizabeth.
I'm familiar with FamilySearch Chat because someone chats with me on a Family Bible project where I help to translate Pennsylvania German Fraktur birth and baptismal certificates. It does work like e-mail as opposed to what one would consider a true "chat".
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones, Elizabeth.
