Please correct my translation of marriage records for Joanna and Anna Meyer
Marriage records #236 and #241 run into each other:
Entry #236 1753 day 27 January in Gorwihl betrothal published ? celebrated ? young man/bachelor Joannes Moser and chaste virgin Anna Meyer of ? ? nuptials ? day 5 February ? ? ? celebrated
Entry #241 1753 day 26 May in Gorwihl the honorable young man Laurentius Hueber ? and chaste virgin Joanna Meyer ? ? ? ? ? ? nuptials ? Birndorf day 9 June ? celebrated
I think they say the betrothals were in Gerweil/Gorweil, but these marriages are in the Birndorf records. Gorweil church records do not have these entries. Both records mention that the women are from another town. I can't decipher the names of the town. I know Anna's husband Joannes Moser was from Birndorf. It seems weird that the betrothals would be in a village, Gorweil, that neither party was from. Any thoughts?
I've attached two copies of the records, the first is a snip of the two marriages and the other is the full page with the index info for Joanna.

I think Joanna Meyer and Anna Meyer might be from Tiefenstein, which is approximately two miles south of Görwihl.
Note that Görwihl has a Catholic parish church and given Tiefenstein's proximity to Görwihl, this might be why the marriage banns were proclaimed in Görwihl.

Here is my general sense of the two marriage records:
236. On the 27th day of January 1753 in Görwihl the public betrothal is celebrated between the honest young man Joannis Mooser and the chaste virgin Anna Meÿer from Tiefenstein. Nuptials are celebrated on the 5th day of February in the morning at this place.
241. On the 26th day of May 1753 in Görwihl the betrothal is celebrated between the honest young man Leontius Hueber with the chaste virgin Joanna Meÿer from Tiefenstein . . . Nuptials are celebrated on the 4th day of June in the morning at Birndorf.
Comments: In record 241 there is a phrase after the word "Tiefenstein" which I am unable to decipher: in pro______ ? tertia? re_? sitorum?
I am interpreting the abbreviation "antem." in both records as: antemeridian = before midday = in the morning.

I have seen the "antem" in other records but didn't know it was an abbreviation. So thank you for that.
Also, thank you for the groom's name, Leontius. I didn't think the indexed name was correct. It looked more like Leon to me than the indexed version Lorentius.
For several days, I have poured over all 18 of the marriage records on this double page, comparing the verbiage used, the names, etc. Five of them have Meyer brides but three are from other villages. So your finding of Tiefenstein for Anna and Joanna is a big help. I will look again at the Familienbuch and see if I can find a Meyer family in Tiefenstein, and also do a more exhaustive search for Meyer families in the larger area.
This priest/scribe wasn't one for consistency. There are many differences among the 18 records. And the phrase "pro______ ? tertia? re_? sitorum?" only appears in Joanna's. As I have played around with different spellings in Google Translate, I wonder if that phrase may be about a third location, perhaps one that would have otherwise been chosen for the ceremony. I may be way off base. I am only a neophyte as regards German records. I will watch for that phrase as I continue researching. So thank you for giving me a transcription to go by.
I'd gotten the gist of these records, but Anna is my brick wall and I was hoping there might be something in the record that would point me to a baptism record. Tiefenstein records don't start until 1837. There are a couple baptism records in Gorweil, but only if she was in her 40s or her birth name was Anna Maria. Either of which could be true. Birndorf has three possible women in their 20s, but each with different parents.
I copy all of the answers I receive on this forum into Word documents (and some translations for other querents) so that I can refer to them to help me with newer finds. (Clicking on "My Bookmarks" never displays anything.) So your transcriptions and translations do help me cut down on asking for help.
