translation help 1791 book of nobility in lower Austria - section regarding Christoph Flachsberg
I'm struggling with translating this with Google because the meaning changes drastically depending on what letters I think are being written. I'm mostly just looking to have the sentence that is in quotes deciphered I can't tell if it says he's well know as Count... or is born of Count... (like the child of...). Thank you for your help!

Translation of the sentence in quotes:
Christoph Flachsberger of the well-born Lord Heinriche Count of Hardegg and in Machland Captain of the County of Hardeck Anno 1508

The paragraph begins as follows:
Christoph Flachsberger, partly called von Flachsberg, appears in Count Hardegg's documents with the words: "Christoph Flachsberger of the well-born Lord Heinriche Count of Hardegg and in Machland Captain of the County of Hardeck Anno 1508" . . . .

Thank you! I keep re-reading this and I think it must mean that he was the knight of the count. It doesn't make sense that they were related. The count was part of different noble family much more well known than mine.

You're welcome, Kristin.
I agree with you that Christoph Flachsberger was a knight who served the count rather than being related to him.
