Requesting a sanity check on a FamilySearch record
I would like someone to double check my interpretation of a record in FamilySearch that I believe has been incorrectly indexed. The record in question is at:
I'm not sure if the link will work because the colons in the original URL have been replaced by percentage signs and I can't prevent it when I paste it in here.
I've also attached two screen captures for your review. The first one is the indexed record that shows up on FamilySearch, which records the death of Christian Dittbrenner on 20 March 1850.
The second screen capture is of the actual record from film 245582, which I found during a recent research trip to the FHL. I believe this is actually a reference to Christian's wife, Anna Gertz.
I'd appreciate an opinion from someone better versed in reading these records as to which interpretation is correct.
Thanks,
Terry

URL rescued from the mangler: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPXQ-224W

It is the death/burial record for Christian's wife, Anna Görtz. Survivors are the widower (Christian Dittbrenner) and their children.

Thank you. Is there a procedure by which I can get the FamilySearch index record corrected? I'm not seeing any option for that.

Indexes can be edited only if the image is online. Images that are only viewable at the FHL or on a partner site cannot be edited.
