The ending of the child's name that looks like a "y" is probably the symbol for the Latin ending "-us", i.e., Arnoldus. Note that many of the other names on this page also have this ending: Henricus, Hermanus, Gerardus.
His common German name would be "Arnold".

@Ulrich Neitzel Thank you, Ulrich! Do you read the last name the same as I do, "Rahe". Also, I've seen this person appear in records as both "Arnold" and "Arend". Are these names interchangeable?

The last name could also be "Rohe" or even "Rohr". You would need other records to clearly define it.
You are correct that "Arend" and "Arnd" are derived from the name "Arnold" (French "Arnaud", Italian "Arnaldo") and may be used interchangeably.
