Relationship question - Alswede parish
In entry #25, it shows the gevatter as "seule Moritz Schepers filios" (please correct where needed). I believe that this means, the widower Moritz Scheper's [unnamed] son. Is that what you read? Or something else?
Another question is regarding a location that is often mentioned in this parish - "Bruckhausen". I've highlighted several references to this place in yellow. Using Meyers Gazeteer, I don't see this location anywhere in Alswede parish. There are two other entries, neither of which appear anywhere close to Alswede. Is there another source to look for this location?
Thank you so much!
Jenny

I think it might be Benckhausen:

My latin is horrible so hopefully someone else can help with that. If I was guessing I would read it as the only son of Moritz Schepers but that is a guess.

I think you totally correct about the name of the place being Benckhausen -- now that I reread the letters, that makes sense! Thank you.
Could the translation for the phrase be "deceased Moritz Schepers son" ? As in, "selig".

I read the word before Moritz Schepers as "seel" = seelig = deceased.
I agree with @JohnsonGreg that the location is Ben(c)khausen (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10133061).
