Here's the full translation of the first page -

No. 6. In the year 1856, on 16 September at 10 in the morning, appeared before me Jacob Ott, mayor and civil registrar in the town of Pfiffligheim, district of Pfeddersheim,

I) Cornelius Mann, 31 years old, butcher and merchant, resident of Pfiffligheim, born there on 28 August 1825, which is confirmed by the entry in the birth register for that year in this town,

adult son of 1) Alexander Mann, 62 years old, butcher and merchant, resident in Pfiffligheim, and

2) Barbara Mann nee Kaufmann, 63 years old, resident in Pfiffligheim, both present here and granting his permission

Translation of the second page -

and on the other side II) Martha Löb, 38 years old, without occupation, resident in Monsheim, born there on 12 August 1818, as confirmed by the extract from the birth register from Monsheim for the named year that was presented to me

adult daughter of 1) Jacob Löb *the second*, 63 years old, butcher, resident in Monsheim, and

2) Sibilla Löb nee Benedick, while alive without occupation, resident in Monsheim, died there on 29 July 1844, as confirmed by the extract from the death register from Monsheim for the named year that was presented to me, present here and granting their permission

Those present have requested me, for the consummation of their upcoming marriage, and for which the proclamations on the main door of the town hall were made, namely the first on 31 August 1856 at noon, and the second on 7 September at noon of the same year, and after I was presented with certification of the marriage proclamation from the town of Monsheim on 27 August and 3 September for the named year.

Since I was not notified of any objections to this marriage, and by granting the same request and the above-mentioned writing, and have read the 6th chapter of the Civil law book entitled "On Marriage," and have asked the prospective groom as well as the prospective bride if they want to take each other as man and wife, and each of them answered affirmatively, so I declare in the name of the law that Cornelius Mann, butcher and merchant residing in Pfiffligheim,

and Martha Löb, without occupation, residing in Monsheim,

are bound in marriage.

Whereby I have completed the present document in the presence of witnesses

1) Daniel Mann, 21 years old, merchant, residing in Pfiffligheim, related as: brother of of the groom

2) Joseph Löb the first, 56 years old, butcher residing in Monsheim, related as: [paternal] uncle of the bride

3) Joseph Löb the second, 30 years old, butcher residing in Monsheim, related as: brother of the bride

4) Mosis Bender, 34 years old, merchant residing in Roxheim, related as: brother-in-law of the groom

who after reading the present document, have signed it with me and the other parties to the contract, with the exception of the mother of the groom, who declared that she cannot read or write.

Writing in the left-hand margin notes the addition of two words - *the second* - and this is signed by all present.

Second note in margin stated that the document has been reviewed by the civil registrar on 1 October 1856.

Note - I'm sure I haven't quite accurately translated the legalese in the two middle paragraphs of the second page, but the gist of the translation should be mostly understandable. Lots of good information in this record.

Can you tell if Joseph Löb II is the brother of the bride or the son of Joseph Löb I ~ which would make him the cousin of the bride.

The record says that Joseph Löb II is the brother of the bride and Joseph Löb I is the uncle of the bride, so not cousins.
