Den 16. Jan. 1817 Abends 4 Uhr ist dahier zu Emmendingen ein Mädchen geboren, u. d. 20. ej. Nachmit. 1. getauft - Christine Sophie -. Die Mutter ist Wilhelmine Scharbergerin, verheyrathet an Heinrich Konrad Hederle, Bgr. u. Drehermstr, welcher aber, in Ehescheidungs-Prozeß begriffen, dieß Kind nicht anerkennen will; darum die Amtl. Entscheidung erwartet wird. Diese erfolgte d. 8. Mai ej. ai - nach welchen Hederle ohne weiteres einzuschreiben sey, wie es hier geschieht. Taufzeugen waren: Heinrich Buhlin, B. u. Becker dahier, Joh. Georg Gutjahr, led. von Collmarsreuthe, Jungfer Christine Wagnerin, ledig von hier.

Translation:

On January 16, 1817 at 4 p.m. a girl was born here in Emmendingen, and baptized on the 20th of the same month 1 p.m. - Christine Sophie -. The mother is Wilhelmine Scharberger, married to Heinrich Konrad Hederle, citizen and master turner who, however, being in divorce proceedings, does not want to recognize this child; therefore the official decision is expected. This took place on May 8 of the same year - according to which Hederle was to be registered without further ado, as is the case here. Witnesses to the baptism were: Heinrich Buhlin, citizen and baker there, Joh[annes] Georg Gutjahr, single from Collmarsreuthe, maiden Christine Wagner, single from here.
