Need help translating mother/wife maiden name in birth and death record for spouse of Julius Fenske
Hi,
I am trying to figure out the maiden name of the spouse of Julius Fenske. She may be listed in 2 documents.
The first document is the birth of her son Friedrich Wilhelm Julius Fenske born or baptized 29 Feb 1856. This document came from FHL film #208024. The birth is #21. I read her name as Emilie Zinlku or Zinlka. The village is Osiezno in both documents.
The second document is the death record for a son of Julius Fenske and a spouse(?) of Julius Fenske. The son was 1/2 hour and doesn't have a name because he was not baptized. His death record is #7. The mother's death is #8. I read her name as Emilie geb Sumka. She is 28 1/2 years at death. FHL film #208026.
Do you think these two women are the same person?
I think Julius Fenske's occupation if Miller's apprentice. His occupation is consistent in the 2 documents.
Thank you for your time, Myke Rachu

In the first document I read the maiden name quite clearly as Emilie Zielke.
In the second document the name is somewhat more difficult to read; it looks like Sirmke or Sirneke. The first letter is clearly an "S" and there is no "l" in the name., so the names seem to be different.
The occupation of Julius Fenske is Müllergeselle which is a journeyman miller; a miller's apprentice would be a Müllerlehrling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journeyman, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apprenticeship
